"I must say this Samsung SMX-F34 is exceptionally easy to use. Its ease and simplicity make it a great value for the price. My only qualm is that it uses a .mp4 format and you cannot change this to the more universal .avi format. However, I was able to view the files easily using VLC player and there are plenty of free converters to change the format from .mp4 to .avi after saving to your computer. Some people complain you can't convert to a DVD format and still experience the excellent video clarity but I ask why do this? .Avi is a much more universal format and many DVD players these days include .avi playback."
